German Language Learning from Kindergarten to GCSE (3-16)
Our school aims to develop the children's command of spoken and written German, and to further awareness and understanding of their German, Austrian, or Swiss cultural background.
Typically, our children have one German-speaking parent, or have grown up in a German-speaking country. Living in an English environment, it might become increasingly difficult to maintain fluency in their native language.
Our teachers, who come from German-speaking countries and enjoy working with children, aim to give them the confidence to communicate spontaneously and fluently, and to write with a sound knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. All our lessons are held in German.
The German Embassy and the Goethe-Institute offer their support in organizing our yearly teacher seminars and children's theatre performances.
We are a not-for-profit Commmunity Interest Company (CIC) run by parent volunteers.
